The Journey was started on the year 2000 with group of like minded people from Veerashaiva Lingayat community of Rajarajeshwari Nagar with a small voluntary contribution. These like minded people are joined together and form group to meet and discuss on monthly basis to see the day to day activities of temple.

Later on they form SRI VEERASHAIVA LINGAYAT KSHEMABHIVRUDDHI SANGHA having identified key people to perform the activities which are required for community and others completely supported wholeheartedly as a team and this has been continueed even today.

Temple shrine is situated amidst various sacred trees rarely available in a place like Bangalore.The very environment is quite calm and serene with scenic devotional beauty. Many devotees contributed for Vigraha's like Naga vana, Navagraha, Ganesh idol, Lord Subramanya, Devi Parvathi etc.

Inside temple newly constructed GHARBA GUDI sanctum sanctorum Lord Sangameshwar (Shivalingam) Pranpratishtha was done very recently under the leadership of present management. Gansehamurthy, lord subramanya statue and Devi parvathi statues are there to worship inside temple.

Slowly it has developed and today huge number of devotees are visiting this temple regularly. Devotees express /believe that Lord sngamanath is the most powerful and fulfil all ambitions once visit Temple .Lord Sangameshwar bless devotees with peace ,solace and prosperity. Many miracles have happened that too after installation of new �Shivalingam� during the year 2017-18.

Now board has decided to extended its service to various activities like health camps,blood donaton camps.yoga camps,art and culture training camps to children etc in the days to come.

During the coming years it is planned to construct 600 seater fully equipped Spacious �Sri Jagajyothi Basaveshwara Cultural teater� with project cost of Rs.3crores.This is built for the usage of all section of people in the area/society with out and cast/creed discrimination. This will be dream project create niche in the comity traditional and spiritual circle. This will going to be historic, remarkable achievement for the community as whole and more specifically to VKS members in the ares.
