Lord Sangameshwara Temple is a sacred place in Rajarajeshwari Nagar Bangalore. Initially it was built by the group of like minded people from the Veerashaiva Lingayat community of Rajarajeshwari Nagar with a small voluntary contribution. Thereafter it has developed and huge number of devotees are visiting this temple regularly. Devotees express/believe that Lord Sngamanath is the most powerful and fulfil all ambitions once visit Temple. Lord Sangameshwar bless devotees with peace, solace and prosperity. Many miracles have happened that too after installation of new �Shivalingam� during the year 2017-18.
Temple shrine is situated amidst various sacred trees rarely available in a place like Bangalore. The very environment is quite calm and serene with scenic devotional beauty. This is the temple where suns rays falls directly on shivalingam during month. Indeed rare fete to witness. Here God of Glory thunders. Future glory of this temple will be greater than past glory. Inside temple newly constructed GHARBA GUDI sanctum sanctorum Lord Sangameshwar (Shivalingam) Pranpratishtha was done very recently under the leadership of present management. God Gansehamurthy, Lord subramanya statue and Devi Parvathi statues are there to worship inside temple. Indeed it is profound opportunity to visit and witness all the Gods sitting with pomp and splender to bless. Temple consists of vast area opposite to temple east side there is open air theatre to perform cultural and traditional activities dance ,vachana gayana,dramas. To the west there is administrative office on ground floor and on the first floor priest is staying.
The entire temple is run by temple authorities. Presently all activities like Mahashivarathri, Basava jayanthi, Shravanamasa pooja, Mane Manegalalli Siddantha (by Vibuthipura math swamiji), Naga panchami, Ganesh jayanthothsav, Dasara festival, Karthika masa pooja, Dhanurmasa Pooja's are celeberated with the administration/management of Veerashiva Kshemabhivrudhi Sangha a registered body consisiting of around 900 plus members.
During Shivarathri special pooja will be done to shiva with full of flower decoration. Ksherabhisheka to Shivalinga on shivarathri will be special feature of the day. Around 10000 (ten thousand) congregation visit temple for Darshan till midnight. Activists and Sangha members contribute wholeheartedly, their donations, service and physical presence for the over all development of temple. Presently the care taker of temple is executive members and other active VKS sanga members.
